Opening April 17: Temporary exhibition "Klein József - Retrospective" at the Fortress Gallery

Centrul de Cultură, Artă și Agrement Târgu Mureș invites you to the Citadel Gallery for a new temporary exhibition - ”Klein József – Retrospectives”.

A megnyitóra 𝐚́𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬 𝟏𝟕-𝐞́𝐧, 𝐜𝐬𝐮̈𝐭𝐨̈𝐫𝐭𝐨̈𝐤𝐨̈𝐧, 𝟏𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐨́𝐫𝐚́𝐭𝐨́𝐥 kerül sor – alkalom, amely során beszédet mond 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞́𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢 𝐑𝐨́𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭, a kiállítás kurátora, a Megyei Múzeum Nagybányai Szépművészeti Központ igazgatója.

Through this exhibition, we present to the public the artistic activity of one of the emblematic artists of the Baia Mare Artistic Center, József Klein, a complete artist, with an extensive creation in various directions of expression, from painting, engraving, drawing and sculpture to industrial art and book illustration.

The curatorial concept brings together works of art from the museum's own heritage and from partner institutions. Thus, the exhibition features over 70 works by the artist – paintings, graphics and a sculpture – belonging to the heritage of the County Museum of Art "Baia Mare Artistic Center", works from the collection of the Center for Culture, Art and Leisure Târgu Mureș, from the heritage of the Art Museum in Cluj-Napoca, as well as from private collections.

These works offer an insight into the talent of this emblematic artist of the Baia Mare School of Painting, whose legacy we celebrate in this retrospective exhibition, 129 years simce birth.

The exhibition will be open until June 30, 2025 at the Fortress Gallery in the Medieval Fortress of Târgu Mureș.
